Kaido is one of the Yonko, also known as the Four Emperors, of the A play world. Once a member of the Rocks Pirates, Kaido finally reached great heights when he created the Beasts Pirates and became the strongest man in the whole world. A play.

Being a Yonko, it goes without saying that Kaido is incredibly powerful and one of the most important characters, especially in the Wano Country arc. However, there are a lot of things that just don’t make sense about her at the moment.

8 Kaido’s race has yet to be explained to fans

One Piece Kaido

Kaido is one of the most intriguing characters in A play simply because of his race. Kaido is known not to be human, which is evident from his size and his horns. In fact, people like Marco and even Kaido himself have referred to the Kaido genre as Oni. The exact nature of the Oni breed remains unknown. Kaido might have a potential connection to the race of Oars, but they share very few similarities apart from their horns. So far, this is one of the most mysterious aspects of Kaido’s character.

7 Kaido’s origins are shrouded in mystery

Kaido is a very strange creature in the A play world. As explained above, he is of the Oni genus and does not belong to any large breed known to history. At the same time, its origins are also not known. Kaido is definitely not from Wano, and Onigashima Castle was not built that long ago. This seems to imply that Kaido is from a place fans haven’t seen yet. However, this place remains a mystery even though we are so deep in the arc of Wano country.

6 Why Kaido is in Wano is unclear

Kaido is certainly one of the most important characters in the Wano Country arc, being its main antagonist. In fact, he’s the most important villain for Luffy as he’s been built since Punk Hazard and has been steadily growing in history for years now. However, why Kaido specifically chose Wano doesn’t make sense.

In his fight with Yamato, Kaido hinted that he couldn’t leave Wano and that it was the only country he would reside in.

5 Kaido could engage in trade with world government

Some of the greatest elements of Kaido’s forces are the beasts known as Numbers. As explained by Big Mom, Numbers are failed experiments of the world government to give birth to ancient giants again. For some reason, Kaido ended up buying these failed experiments and giving them a place on his crew. How Kaido might trade with the world government remains unknown. As a hacker, Kaido shouldn’t have a relationship with the world government – at least not good enough to let him buy things from them.

4 Kaido has lost seven fights in his entire life

Kaido is one of the strongest people in the A play world, if not the strongest. During its introduction to story chapter 795, fans were revealed that Kaido is a monstrous creature that no one can defeat in single combat. At the same time, Kaido is known to have lost seven battles in his life. Now, that’s certainly no surprise as the fights he lost likely weren’t one-off fights, but Kaido’s respect for those he fought indicates that he valued their strength personally. If he lost to them, the fact that he always wins head-to-head doesn’t make sense.

3 The Navy failed to execute Kaido because of his skin

Kaido is an incredibly tough pirate. Its durability stems from the power of Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, a Zoan-type mythical demon fruit that gives it the ability to transform into an oriental dragon. Kaido’s scales are extremely tough due to his devil fruit powers, but it’s not like he can’t be beaten. The Navy has defeated him in the past and even attempted to execute him, but due to his skin no weapon could kill him.

It doesn’t make much sense as the Sea Prism Stone should have nullified his powers and allowed them to kill him. If somehow that didn’t work on him, then Kaido certainly could have been executed by people like Garp and Sengoku.

2 Kaido doesn’t have a lot of scars on his body

In his entire life, Kaido has only received one scar given to him by Kozuki Oden when they fought 20 years ago. While this shows that Kaido is indeed quite durable, it doesn’t make sense at the same time. Kaido has been captured by the Navy and the Four Emperors 18 times and has lost 7 battles in his life. Those who defeated him would certainly have injured him in battle, and given that these are Yonko and Admirals, they certainly would have left a mark. Yet Kaido only bears one scar, which was later extended by Roronoa Zoro to Wano.

1 Kaido’s bounty should be higher than it currently is

Kaido currently has the highest active premium known in A play, at 4,611,100,000 berries. Although this premium is indeed very high, it is not high enough. Shanks, who became a Yonko only six years ago, has a bounty of 4,048,900,000 berries. He’s not been a pirate for nearly as long as Kaido. Additionally, Kaido is very dangerous and his entire crew are beastly in nature, making him a much bigger threat to the World Government. That his bounty is so close to Shanks’ only makes very little sense. If anything, Kaido’s bounty should be around 5 billion berries.
